your period start? Take a pregnancy test, get a BFN, which you expected, then 24hrs later go out wearing white pants and VIOLA! Period shows up, a mere 8 days late. /grumble
I swear my cycle was only off this month because I'm finally excited/ready to start TTC so it purposefully was late just to make me more anxious. Owen did not really care each time I said "Damn where's my period?" all that translated to him was more sex time.
In all seriousness, July is the month to start trying. Owen is all set to try for a boy this time, I'm just finally ready emotionally to do this again and really do not want to try any "methods" to get a boy or girl. I think we should just be happy to get pregnant, not worry about trying for a specific gender.

Stupid..
late period that's making my PMS symptoms drag out. I love being all bloaty for over a week now. It just figures the month that we are both finally ready to start TTC is the month my period decides to be late to delay things. I was complaining about it last night and Owen was so nice to say "Pfftt don't worry about it, you were stressed a bit this month and were sick for 2 weeks, I'm sure that's why you are late". I was pretty much aware of that, and know I'm not pregnant, but it's still annoying.
I'm only 4 days late, so it's not a big deal, I'm just anxious to start TTC again. :0(

That little four letter word...
I knew the day was going to come when N would swear through mimicking us. What I did not expect was that it would be me she would micmic. For some reason I always thought it would be Owen. I should have known better, since I grew up around a dad who has the worse potty mouth of anyone I know.
A couple of days ago I was reaching on the top of shelf in the cupboard for a bowl for her lunch. What I should have done was gotten my step stool but instead I decided to reach and reach putting more weight then I should have on the shelf itself. Well said shelf gave out, crashed down onto my good glasses..my good, expensive, discontinued pattern glasses. I said "Shit" and my little parrot just happened to be right at my feet at the time staring up at what was going on and looks at me and says "Shit".
My first reaction was 'must.not.laugh.must.not.laugh' and then after I'd managed not to, I smiled and said "No honey, mum should have said "shoot"'. Of course my little angel giggled at me, did not repeat the word (or say "shit" again for that matter) and instead ran off to bang away on her Fridge Farm.

Wonky
Being sick with a sinus cold and having a fever this past week definitely played a little havoc with my chart. It was perfect timing too, since I was due to Ovulate this week on CD20. It looks like I did on CD21, but over the last couple of days I've had a few 'symptoms' that I may not have O'd yet. odd.

Mish Mash
Well, we are all sick...again. Yes it seems like we were just sick but on Tuesday I woke with a sore throat and it progressed to a really painful nasal/sinus cold. As luck would have it, Tash caught it as well and has been a snot monster since then. Today we both woke up and although my nose is a bit stuffy my nasal passages feel much better and Tash's nose is not so snotty, her cough is also gone.
Natasha has not said any new words until yesterday when she surprised both Owen and I. She and I were cuddled up on the sofa watching a movie when he got home. He comes to the basement, she looks up at him and says Hello daddy!
Just as plain as day, then focused back on the movie. Of course she's done nothing but babble since, but it was quite the surprise. I think once she gets going, she's going to be a talker like her mom.
A couple of weeks ago Tash received a new Trike. I was not sure what her reaction to it was going to be, but she seemed to love it. We got it put together (read dad put it together!) in between the raining and she had a fun time playing on it while we BBQ'd supper that night;

Today we had more sun, so we took advantage of it and did some yardwork. Well Owen mowed the lawn, I played with Tash and took photos. :p

Almost there...
Why does the thought that in about 3 weeks we'll be actively TTC make me a little queasy?? I'm excited to add to our family, but at the same time, I'm nervous/scared/anxious....Part of me is sad that those first few weeks/months with 2nd babe will not be the same as they were with Tash. There were just so many little moments that I enjoyed with Tash and I that I know I won't be able to experience with 2nd babe.
Also, the idea of having 2 kids, that scares me. I know I'll adjust and it will be fine, just the first few months I think are going to be crazy. Owen is all laid back about the whole thing, but I can't help to feel a bit nervous/anxious.
And so as to not to get ahead of myself, when I'm not worrying about what it will be like to have 2 kids under foot, I'm worrying about how my pregnancy will go the 2nd time around. I had a relatively easy pregnancy the first time, what if the 2nd time is difficult? I think I'm surrounded by way too many pregnant women (5 in my playgroup and the number is slowly climbing) and then 2 in my other playgroup and numerous women I know through a msg board I frequent.
I do want 2 kids, heck I've even thought about having 3, I think it's just nerves now that we (read me) are finally ready to start that journey again.

Spinning~
A couple of weeks ago when Owen had some friends over for their bi-weekly geek night, Natasha started to show off by spinning in the kitchen. It's something neither of us had seen her do before, and she seemed to be amused by it. I have no idea where she picked it up, she just started spinning around and around and around until she fell on her bum from dizziness. Since then she's done it at least daily, spinning until she falls down, shakes her head, stands up and runs off to play. Maybe I need to find her tutu?
