After painting the bug's room, one would think I would have had enough of painting and taken a break. I was suppose to go to my friend's house today and help her paint her baby's room, but she cancelled, so I decided why not paint anyway?I tore the Geek away from his computer game and put him to work painting the trim in the bug's room while I did the door and closet. I figured I had painted the entire room (minus the stripes, which my friend helped me) so it was time he helped out. Now I just have to go buy the chair rail and get it cut, do some touch ups and put up photos and such. This photo is from last weekend, but both curtain panels are white, the Geek decided he did not like the sheer.
I took a small break and then decided I was going to paint the kitchen cabinets. I've not mentioned it before, but a lot of the trim in the house, including the kitchen cabinets are/were this stale yellow colour. I'm sure it's just from age, but it was one thing that I wanted to change once we moved in. We've been here for a month, so I figured it was time to paint them.
It was also super easy and reasonably fast. No taping, just straight painting. Although it's a cosmetic thing that I'm sure no one else will notice I've changed/painted unless they saw the before, it makes me feel better, and I can tell, so that's all that matters right? Oh and the new hardware I bought for the doors looks great.
Next on the improvement list is to paint the half bath downstairs. I might paint the laundry room the same colour, but I'm not sure yet.
