Mr. Handyman

We seem to have this great luck when we buy a home that one major appliance has to break down within a month of moving in. With our condo it was the D/W, which had us washing dishes for over a year before we broke down and bought a new D/W. In the case of our new house, it was the fridge.

About a month after moving in, we woke up to see the kitchen floor was flooded. We argued back and forth as to whether it was the D/W or fridge, and I was proven correct once we pulled out the fridge. Three days later and many soggy towels, Hubs figured out how to turn the water off, and then after 2 phone calls to a refridgerator repairman (one to book, one to cancel), we figured out it was the line to the ice maker had a crack in it. It was then another 2 weeks before we made it to Home Depot to get a new line/pipe. You'd think that we would have fixed the problem right?

Well, the guy at home depot was as clueless as we were and sold us the incorrect parts. The next time I went over I bought an ice maker kit and brought it home. O used the parts needed and Viola! we now have a working fridge that no longer pees on our floor. :0)
